NORTH WALES CRUSADERS are delighted to confirm the signing of three players from the club’s reserve side.
Morgan Johnson, Will Mills and Jacob Hitchcox all step up into Anthony Murray’s first-team squad with immediate affect, signing deals until the end of the 2018 season.
Whilst Johnson has just returned from representing Wales students, both Mills and Hitchcox have been selected in the Wales Under 19’s squad to tour Serbia.
Speaking about the signings, North Wales Crusaders CEO Andy Moulsdale said: “With today being the last day to get players on board I felt it was important to make sure we are covered in all positions.
“We could have gone out and gone for players from the North West who have played at this level, however, the lads who we have signed have earned this opportunity through the work they’ve put in.
“It’s great for the club to be able to call on young Welsh players who I’ve no doubt will do everything they can to push for a first-team spot.”
Moulsdale also moved to address questions regarding the availability of players who have featured at North Wales Crusaders from Widnes Vikings following today’s transfer deadline:” The partnership with Widnes will continue, I know a lot of fans have been asking if the players from Widnes can play so just to clarify, Joe Lyons, Dan Norman and Brad Walker who have been with us all year will continue to be with us for the remainder of the season which is good news.”
